Breastfeeding in Oxfordshire

To celebrate National Breastfeeding Week 21 - 25 June a number of activities are taking place across the county. Why don't you see if you can pop along to pick up useful information, tips, advice and maybe meet some new friends.

The week's events

All week there will be leaflets, tips and advice made available at your local children’s centre and on The Baby Cafe Bus.

Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd - there will be a Breastfeeding display at Castle Quay Shopping Centre, Banbury. Midwives, health visitors and other support workers will be available for a chat.

Tuesday 22nd - there will be an information stand at Templars Square 129 Pound Way, Cowley, Oxford, OX4 3XH. Why don't you pop along and pick up some advice and tips.

Wednesday 23rd - screening at The Roundabout Centre of the new Baby Cafe film at 11:00am. The Baby Cafe bus will be open from 11.30am-13.30pm.

Wednesday 23rd - antental breastfeeding session at Witney Children's Centre (Methodist church) in the Radford Room. This session will give you the opportunity to discuss breastfeeding and meet other new mums who are currently breastfeeding.

Thursday 24th - there will be an information stand outside The Baby Cafe bus at East Oxford Health Centre, Manzil Way, OX4 1XD, available between 13:00pm-15:00pm. Why don't you pop along and pick up some advice and tips.

Thursday 24th - La Leche League invites everyone to celebrate National Breastfeeding Week at The Broom Tree Cafe, Ark - T Centre, Crowell Street, Cowley.
Join them for the annual celebration at this beautiful cafe. Lots of yummy homemade food (and cakes!) available between 10:00am - 12noon.

Friday 25th - Breastfeeding Week morning for children and carers at Donnington Doorstep Family Centre. There will be Breastfeeding toys, nursing themed toys, books and activities available between 10:00am-16:00pm.
