Children and Care Records

The same choices exist for children as for adults.

Children will automatically have a national Summary Care Record and a local Oxfordshire Care Summary made for them, unless as a parent you decide that you do not want this to happen.

Teens and Care Records

If you have a teenager that will be 16 by the end of June 2012, they will be written to directly to ask if they want a national Summary Care Record and a local Oxfordshire Care Summary. Look out for this letter at the beginning of April 2012.

If your teenager is under 16, you will need to make this choice for them or support them in making their own choice if you feel they are old enough to do so.
