NHS Oxfordshire 2010/11 Annual Review

The Annual Review provides a brief overview of the work of NHS Oxfordshire; also know as Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2011. The report is in two parts, the first section is a short, illustrated round up of just some of the projects and achievements that NHS Oxfordshire has been involved with and invested in over the year, as well as information about our performance and commentary on wider events which have shaped our business and priorities. The second part is a summary of the organisation’s financial statements for the financial year 2010-11. NHS Oxfordshire 2009/2010 Annual Report

The Annual Report not only provides an insight in to the work which we do at NHS Oxfordshire, highlights of the year, new health initiatives and the progress we have achieved over the past financial year but it also includes a summary of NHS Oxfordshire's accounts. This year's annual report contains a number of case studies that show how our work is having a real impact of the lives of people living in the county. For example, how the county's health trainers helped 50 year old John from Cowley to loose a stone in three months. And, the partnership work that has been going on in the county to reduce the impact of alcohol related harm and crime.

NHS Oxfordshire 2008/2009 Annual Report

The report highlights recent local developments for 2008/09 (available for download in PDF format) including extended opening hours in over half the county's GP surgeries, developing a dental strategy which sets out how NHS Oxfordshire will commission dental services over the next five years with the aim of improving access to NHS dentistry, ratings of excellent in meeting new national targets including areas such as reducing health inequalities; reducing levels of MRSA and halting the rise in obesity among children by 2010.

This annual report provides an overview of the work of NHS Oxfordshire for the year 2007/2008 (available for download in PDF format). The report celebrates our successes, gives an account to you of our performance and explains how NHS Oxfordshire works. It also describes how we are planning to invest in healthcare in Oxfordshire during the coming year.

Annual Audit Letter

Under the Audit Commission’s Code of Audit Practice the auditors have reviewed and reported on:

  • NHS Oxfordshire’s accounts
  • Whether NHS Oxfordshire has made proper arrangements for securing economy efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources

The letter below summarises the significant issues arising from both areas of work and highlights key recommendations. The letter was considered by the Audit Committee on 10 September and actioned.

NHS Oxfordshire's 2005/2006 Annual Reports

In 2005/2006 the five Oxfordshire PCTs each produced an annual report (available in pdf format below) and an additional set of accounts to cover the period from 1 April to 30 September 2006 when the five PCTs became a single PCT (NHS Oxfordshire) responsible for the whole of Oxfordshire.
